NewNote Solutions is a company specialising in research, production, integration and implementation of high value added financial automation solutions, with a direct presence in Portugal and Spain, and operations in various European and African markets. The solutions we offer these markets derive from worldwide leading platforms in their sector combined with the development of NewNote Solutions software and implementation, support and technical assistance services based on our resources. 100% self-owned, NewNote Solutions is proud to have personnel experienced in information systems and electronic payment, geared to enhancing the value of solutions designed based on cutting-edge technology, comprising provenly robust and highly reliable operational platforms. In 2019, we established NewNote Solutions in Spain with a dedicated resource structure supported by an Iberian framework, which enables us to optimise our resources and deliver added value to our customers and partners. We are an Iberian brand operating in various East European and Portuguese-Speaking African markets, in particular Angola and São Tomé e Príncipe.

History

NewNote Solutions started its business in 1978 as GAIN, a company of electronic engineering projects focused on the development of products and solutions for a new business line and developing market in Portugal in the financial sector.

1990

Launch of the first Point of Sales Devices (Point of Sale or POS) in Portugal, called TP-90, which market the introduction of the acceptance of electronic payments in Portugal in the Multibanco system of SIBS and various Portuguese banks. A number of generations of terminals (TP-94, Futura, Elara, Prisma, PMB, TPG-01) were launched in the following years, supporting the sector's evolutions, such as the EMV cards.

Business unit incorporation in ParaRede, one of the largest suppliers of IT solutions in Portugal at the time, enabling is to continue to develop our line of solutions and our market share in the Portuguese market, while also entering new markets like Angola where our TPA G6000 Europa was the first certified solution to reach this market.

2008

The merger of ParaRede and Consiste gave rise to Glintt, where a Glintt-Technology Enabled Services unit would be inserted with the entire portfolio of electronic payment solutions.

Sales of Glintt TES to HCCM and creation of NewNote Solutions.

Through a management buy-out (MBO) procedure, NewNote Solutions was established as an independent company in the sector.

In 2019, we established NewNote Solutions in Spain with a dedicated resource structure supported by an Iberian framework, which enables us to optimise our resources and deliver added value to our customers and partners. As a natural consequence of our role in this market, we have sought various new initiatives and partnerships, allowing a larger range of solutions and businesses which are currently included in our overall offer of NewNote Solutions.
